Charlie Raposo

“I grew up as a typical English schoolboy, so you can imagine the reaction our relatives and family friends had when my mum let me leave home to attend a ski academy in America to chase my dreams of becoming a World Cup racer. It was my love of skiing that made living 10,000 miles away from home a no-brainer. Along this unorthodox journey, I learnt the important lessons that have complemented my love for skiing and have allowed me to fight time and time again to reach some of my goals. At only 23 years old and having just starting my World Cup career, I am far from done.”

I am a NORQAINER – my life, my way

Charlie Raposo is a World Cup and European Cup alpine ski racer from Great Britain. While London is home for Charlie, his skiing roots are in the Swiss mountains of Verbier. That is where his true love for skiing was first discovered, and it’s that love combined with endless hard work that has turned Charlie into Britain’s best giant alalom skier and their biggest hope for World Cup, World Championships, and Olympic medals in that discipline. Charlie now faces the challenge of the big leagues after having been one of the best junior racers in the world for his age over the past seven years.
