Ramon Zenhäusern

“Apparently, ‘ski’ was the first word I ever said. Although growing up I also played hockey, football and tennis, at the age of 12 I decided to focus on skiing. However, I had never dreamt of World Championship or Olympic medals. I solely wanted to find a way to improve my skiing and get down the mountain faster. To me the journey has always been the goal. Over the past years, I have been able to turn my hobby into my dream career. Something that nobody, with the exception of only two people, had thought to be possible due to my height of 2.02 metres. It was exactly that scepticism that has pushed me over the past years and enabled me to prove everyone wrong. In line with my life motto, ‘Nothing is impossible’, I am happy to be able to continuously live my dream.”

I am a NORQAINER – my life, my way

As the Vice-World Junior Champion, Ramon Zenhäusern made his debut in the Alpine Ski World Cup as a junior. However, he achieved his actual breakthrough in February 2018 – around the same time NORQAIN was founded – with his first World Cup victory in Stockholm and winning the silver medal in the men’s slalom as well as a gold medal in the team event at the Olympic Games in South Korea. One year later, he led Switzerland to the World Championship title in the team event in Are, Sweden. Especially impressive, as he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at the FernUni of Switzerland at practically the same time.
